Dispatch is not delivery, and a normal transit estimate is not an arrival promise. Your order date should come from the recipient's real need-by date, the current shipping method, and the delay buffer you choose.
There is no honest universal Diwali order-by date. Cheatr's current policy gives normal dispatch and transit estimates, but destination, courier serviceability, public holidays and festive demand can all change the outcome.
Keep three clocks separate
Cheatr says orders normally dispatch from Pune within one working day. Orders placed before 1 pm IST from Monday to Saturday normally ship the same day. There is no Sunday pickup.
Standard shipping within India normally takes 5 to 7 days after dispatch. Express normally takes 1 to 3 days in most tier 1 and tier 2 cities, and 3 to 4 days elsewhere, when that option is available at checkout.
This is the date the person can actually receive the parcel, not necessarily Diwali itself. A workplace may close earlier. A recipient may travel. A family gathering may happen before the holiday.
Choose the actual gift before doing the arithmetic
A dispatch message belongs to the product and order you are considering now. Do not copy a timing estimate from another product, an old screenshot or a previous order. If Boom Machale is the intended gift, check that page's current dispatch message and the final shipping options at checkout.
A dated example for Diwali 2026
This is a hypothetical planning example, not a promised cutoff. India Post lists Diwali on Sunday, 8 November 2026. Suppose your recipient leaves town on the evening of Friday, 6 November, so the parcel must arrive before then.
- Set the real need-by date: Friday, 6 November.
- Choose a personal buffer: this buyer chooses two extra days, so the planning target becomes Wednesday, 4 November. The two-day buffer is the buyer's choice, not Cheatr's guarantee.
- Use the slower end of standard transit: the current policy says normally 5 to 7 days after dispatch. Counting seven dates back from 4 November gives a target dispatch date of Wednesday, 28 October.
- Allow for dispatch: an order placed before 1 pm on 28 October would normally be eligible for same-day dispatch under the current policy. Ordering earlier avoids relying on that final normal-policy edge.
What this calculation does not prove: it does not guarantee arrival by 4 or 6 November. The policy explicitly warns that destination, public holidays, festive periods and courier delays can extend timelines. Treat 28 October as the edge of this worked example, not as a universal Diwali cutoff.
A weekend can move the dispatch clock
Suppose the same buyer waits until after 1 pm on Saturday, 31 October, or orders on Sunday, 1 November. With no Sunday pickup, normal dispatch moves to Monday, 2 November. A normal 5 to 7 day standard-transit window would then reach 7 to 9 November under simple calendar arithmetic, already beyond the recipient's 6 November deadline.
That does not mean express shipping will definitely solve it. Check whether express is offered for the exact address, then use the checkout estimate. The policy says express timings vary by city and remain estimates.
Do not change the gift and keep the old estimate
If you switch to Khufia Mafia, go back to the product page and checkout. The recipient fit also changes: the current page lists 7 to 26 players including the God, while Boom Machale lists 4 to 10 players. A faster-looking shipping option does not rescue a game that does not suit the recipient's likely group.

Confirm the complete address
Cheatr asks shoppers to enter the full delivery address at checkout to confirm serviceability and available options. The policy says the address normally cannot be changed after ordering.
Read the live dispatch message
Use the current product page, not a remembered estimate. Peak periods, festive seasons and launches can extend normal processing.
Compare the available methods
Standard and express have different normal ranges. Use only the methods actually offered for the recipient's checkout address.
Decide your own buffer
A buffer is how much uncertainty you are willing to remove by ordering earlier. It is not a new promise from Cheatr or the courier.
If the recipient's address is incomplete, nobody can receive the parcel, or the live checkout estimate is too close to the need-by date, do not convert hope into a delivery claim. Ask for the missing detail or choose a gift plan that does not depend on that parcel arriving in time.
Check the live terms, then make the call.
Start with the recipient's real deadline. Verify the address, the product-page dispatch message and the shipping method offered at checkout. Order earlier when the date matters.

Is the 5 to 7 day standard window counted from the order date?
No. The current policy states that standard shipping normally takes 5 to 7 days after dispatch. Dispatch has its own timing, so add that stage before estimating arrival.
Does express shipping guarantee delivery before Diwali?
No. Express has a shorter normal estimate when available, but delivery still varies by destination, serviceability, public holidays and exceptional delays. Use the live checkout option and treat it as an estimate, not a guarantee.
Can I change the recipient's address after ordering?
The policy says the shipping address cannot normally be changed after an order is placed. For an urgent correction reported immediately, support may try to help only if the order has not yet dispatched. Confirm the address before payment.
